Hey there! I'm Nathaniel Lam Johnson (he/him), a sophomore at the University of Southern California . My multi-ethnic heritage, with Vietnamese, Chinese, and Caucasian roots, shapes my diverse perspective.
Currently, I'm wearing multiple hats. As a Software Engineering Intern at Advantest, I'm deeply engaged in developing cutting-edge semiconductor testing solutions. I'm also a Research Assistant at USC Information Science Institute under Dr. Luis Garcia, utilizing AI to segment human context shifts, unravel patterns, and gain profound insights into the intricate mechanisms of memory formation, while also doing research with CAIS++ (USC research and development club for AI and social good), currently focusing on identifying and preventing substance abuse in schools.
I'm captivated by the limitless potential of software engineering, the intricate world of AI/ML, and the ever-changing landscape of entrepreneurship. I'm all about pushing the boundaries of technology and creating real-world solutions, and I'm always on the lookout for exciting opportunities where I can channel my skills and enthusiasm. Whether it's collaborating on intriguing projects, contributing to forward-thinking ventures, or simply having engaging conversations, I'm ready to connect. Drop me a line at nlj@usc.edu and let's innovate a better future together!
